I want to upgrade my GTX 660 to something like a GTX 960 with 4gb on it, but I'm worried the BIOS of my OEM Lenovo M91p won't support modern cards like that. The motherboard has a PCI-E 2.0 16x slot which isn't a problem but the BIOS is version 9HKT47AUS from 1/10/2012. As far as I know that's the latest BIOS for my board (Model 7034DD8), and I'm concerned that I can't go past a GTX 600 series GPU. The first time I upgraded was going from a Sapphire HD 5770 to an R7 270x, but the R7 didn't even boot so I went to the 660 instead and that worked. Later I was told by someone on these forums that my motherboard didn't support something like the R7 and likely wouldn't support anything above the GTX 600 series. But I've heard that AMD GPUs just have issues on OEM Lenovo M91p desktops. So do you think I can actually upgrade to something like the GTX 960 without issues?
