Hello,

PC is not starting. It suddenly shut down one day and it was impossible to restart it: No fan, no light, nothing.
I changed the PSU, nothing. Changed the motherboard, fans and lights are on, but no display.
I have a MB diagnostic card that shows code 01.
When started, the PC restarts once after a few seconds.
I have reset the CMOS by removing its battery. Tested one stick in every slot. Same result.
My guess now is that the CPU is dead but I've read it is very rare.
Disks are actually unplugged and I use only one RAM stick. Also no CMOS battery for the moment.
When I start with no RAM at all, I have long, then short beeps. Seems normal. No beep when I have RAM installed.

Please heeelp!!!

Desktop is a HP Omen 870-244
Motherboard: Thimphu-K
CPU: Intel Core i7-7700K
RAM: 8Gb PC4-17000 (DDR4-2133)

Hello, thank you for passing by.
Ok. I've put the battery back.
At first boot, the diagnostic card showed 45, then it rebooted, then code 01.
At second attempt it showed 01, rebooted, then 01.
Same result, still no display. I press F10 repeateadly hoping the BIOS to popup but nothing happens. Monitor says there is no signal.

I assume it is an AMI BIOS, for an HP computer.
There is no error assigned to 01.
45 says: Data initialized. Checking for memory wraparound at 0: 0 and finding the total system memory size next.

  • Dual channel (2 DIMMs per channel) memory architecture
  • Four DDR4 DIMM (288-pin) sockets
  • Supports PC4-17000 (DDR4-2133)
  • Supports 4 GB and 8 GB DDR4 DIMMs
  • Supports up to 4 GB on 32-bit systems

look for that type of ram and next time never use hp build in pc

Hello,
I received the memory today and installed it. Unfortunately the result is the same.
At first boot, the diagnostic card showed 45, then it rebooted, then code 01.
At second attempt it showed 01, rebooted, then 01.
