I'm new to overclocking but have now been working on my new rig for a few weeks. I'm pretty sure I have a stable overclock on my processor at 4GHz--I ran prime95 small FFTs+OCCT small data set, with priorities balanced so that they were each using 50% CPU. This ran just fine for more than 30 hours.

My memory is DDR3 1600 and rated for 6-7-6-18 timings. I ran both Memtest86 and Memtest86+ via a boot CD with the memory at 844MHz and 7-7-6-18 timings and encountered no errors in 24+ hours on each test. However, now when I run LinX or OCCT's Linpack I get errors within 10 minutes. I still get the errors even if I reduce the memory to 633MHz and 8-8-8-20 timings! I don't understand what is wrong. Can anyone help me out here?

It's the 998692, although from what I understand the two are identical except for the brand of heatsink attached to them.

I thought CR=2 was a relaxed setting compared to CR=1. What's 1T or 1N? I don't think I have the option to set those.

I have the same board, and memory issues. I have 8gigs : 4 sticks - 2x dual channel 2gig OCZ DDR3 1333 ram 7-7-7-20 running at 1066 + CR2 . I would like it to run at spec.

I cannot find any options to set memory to CR1 or 1T, which just means the same thing.

Does anyone know of any Bios editors one could use to make the desired adjustments to Bios?
