[SOLVED] PSU causing GPU coil whine - looking for new PSU.

As the title suggests, my PSU (TXM650) is causing my GPU (2080Ti) to whine when under load. I have tested with my girlfriends 600W Corsair PSU and it eliminated the whine on my GPU (Although, her PSU whined instead... Oops.).

I have the below build. I have included EVERYTHING (except the monitors, I have 2 1080p monitors, one is 144hz the other is 60hz) just to be safe. My GPU is OC'd using MSI AB to 2130 Mhz Core Clock and +700 Mhz on the memory clock, +100% Core Voltage and 124% Power Limit. CPU is also OC'd using the Ryzen Master PBO setting.

I was wondering if a 750W PSU would be good enough or if I should go for an 850? I have used the online power calculators and they have come back 750-800w. I have been looking at the Corsair RM850/750X, or the RM750i.

I don't mind spending on a good quality PSU so please, any recommendations are welcome.

A cheaper solution may just be a ferrite bead on each PCIe cable.

CorsairOne had the same problem with coil whine on certain models and installing the ferrite beads solved it.

Thank you Juular, I don't mind waiting for a decent spec PSU, I understand the coil whine won't damage any components, its just a bit annoying?

I will take a look at some Ferrite beads. What do they do exactly? I've seen them on the end of cables but never taken any notice of them. They wont affect GPU performance will they? Apologies for the possibly stupid questions...

Well, it can be a cause of excess ripple but more likely it's fine.

What do they do exactly?

They filter out ripple and thus reduce the amount of ripple that chokes on the GPU itself dissipate, therefore reducing their (coils) whine.
