it's a shame that real companies like Vicor don't make computer power supplies. even building one yourself from their parts would run $1k or so. pretty sure it would outclass a Seasonic.
It looks like the reliable manufacturers who make at least one Tier 1 or Tier 2 product, and DON'T make any Tier 4 products (and aren't on the Tier 5 naughty list) are:
Antec
Azza
be quiet!
Corsair
Enermax
EVGA
Fractal Design
Rosewill
SeaSonic
Sentey
Silverstone
Super Flower
XFX
I may have missed a couple, but I'm pretty sure every one I listed qualifies.
Some of the above are not manufacturers. For example, Corsair does not make their units but instead buys them from OEMs and rebrand them. Others, like Seasonic, are the OEMs.

Also, Azza? Sentey? I doubt it.
Sentey use Super Flower for their platinum and golden steelpower lineups. Azza also use Super Flower.
I was going to say, both Azza and Sentey have some pretty good units. They're just not as common here in the US and they're more expensive than some other models using the same platforms.
Yeah, the keyword was SOME. But I fully understand the clarification and I would certainly not ever put either of them on any list indicating a general overall reliability.
I have a 700w ccivo psu! I can only assume it's as bad as a CIT psu? Cheap tat? It's never failed my old system but reckon it really shouldn't have gone in my new build?
Delta is the OEM and they are 80 Plus certified. I don't see any real reviews yet. Relatively low wattage on the 12v rail but should be decent. Anything made by Delta usually is.
They're quite new, I'm certain that it can handle an i5 non-K with a 270X GPU, but is it worth to save 10 Euros against XFX TS 550W for this unit? That's a close call. Here is the thread I've been involved in:
Wow Eruos are dirt cheap. I need to go back to Europe while the dollar buys so much.
I just hope I'm not in the security queue behind you at the airport when you try to go home with a large tin box of full circuitry and 53 wires stickkng out of it.

Yeah as dottorrent said computer parts always cost more over there even assuming a 1:1 parity between the Euro and dollar. As is a dollar buys me 1.06 Euros right now. I was thinking more of a typical tourist trip than a shopping trip. Last time I was there was 94 and that was pre Euro. You still had to exchange currency in each country. Mostly just wishful thinking, I can't take the time off and I just bought a car so I don't have the money anyway. It would be nice to see Eastern Europe though
it's rare for prices for most products to be lower outside of the USA, other than locally made stuff or cheap versions of stuff. the USA is basically he biggest market for just about anything, so stuff has to be priced lower there than in most other places (except HK markets, or "the back of the FedEx truck")
HI guys, so I'm in another dilema, i was gonna get a seasonic s12 bronze 620w to pair with i7-4790k and Gtx970 but its been out of stock for about 2 months, so instead i was looking at the Antec High current gamer 620w. Then suprise suprise when i went to the store its also out of stock, darn luck. So instead the salesman tried to sell me a Antec TP 550w, would this be enough? I have a Hard drive and a hdd plus a ton of case fans =), would also be looking to overclock the cpu, so is it a good idea to buy the Antec TP 550w?
Edit: Also upon further checking it turns out the Antec TP 550w is modular and is Broze certified. I saw An antec true power in the list and thought what Im about to buy was that one, however the one listed is Gold certified and is non modular, so does that mean the PSU sold here in my location is unlisted?
