I particularly enjoyed the "Corsair Theatre" clip some years ago where they pulled 325W out of a series of "500W" PSUs, and violently fried them all. The derpy "I'm an idiot" music they played along with it added to the hilarity. I believe someone identified the croakees as Raidmax PSU-shaped objects.

I've seen that on Youtube a few times. Twas a pretty good video.

I like that. I'm going to borrow it once in a while. The fact that it examples multiple units is more representative of the entire tier 5 level type units than one alone could ever be.

Like the high-wattage CX models often not meeting their rated wattage, but those gracefully shut off and don't explode normally.

MEGA-tron? Transformers, more than meets the eye! Heh.

Did you tell them it was probably their crappy PSU? Can I have their Twitch name?

I didn't do much better. I ended up getting an EVGA 600 80+ white instead of the CX because it was on sale... It will probably be the first thing I upgrade. I regret not going for something more stable sooner especially regarding 12v ripple on this whole line. Saw the 500W review after I already purchased. Figure I may as well use it since it seems to work okay post burn-in and my system isn't overclocked.

Hello everybody, I currently own a Super Flower Golden Green HX 650W (with warranty) and an Antec High Current Gamer 620M (Modular, brand new but without warranty), would be a wise choice to sell both in order to get a brand new EVGA Supernova GS 650?
The Supernova it's stated as tier one, have the same power of the Super Flower and it's modular as the Antec, plus it's brand new and I'll get covered by RMA in case of issues.
Cheers

Just keep what you have. I wouldn't say the GS 650 is anything too incredible - it could have improvements in some areas,

Thanks man, I'm aware about that but I do really need a modular psu to replace my actualy Super Flower, and I'd love to have give or take the same specs, the Antec is pretty close to that and it's modular but I don't have a receipt for it, so no warranty for me if anything happen (bought it second hand), I was just looking for a decent substitute around that price range :)

I would just use the Antec. Great PSU. No reason to get anything else. It's not going to fail and even if it did, you DO have a warranty. The manufacturer warranty doesn;t care if you bought it used. I have RMA'd used stuff all the time.

If you don;t want the Antec, send it to me and I'll pay whatever shipping is. That's honestly all you would likely get for it used anyway.
