There are no reviews for the 600w model, so it's pretty much impossible to say. Traditionally, Xigmatek has not had good power supplies, and although Torres gave the 700w unit a good review back in 2012, I'd be skeptical as he determined that the Thermaltake TR2 was a better option and we know those older TR2 units were basically junk so I'd take that recommendation with a grain of salt even considering the source of the review. Torres reviews were usually spot on, but there are a few questionable ones here and there.

And build quality........as I told you in the other thread,"I own it and it works" is not a valid argument. Nor does it replace a professional review done with professional equipment. It's not terrible but I'd never buy one when better choices are available for cheaper.

evga supernova question...(tried to google it but i want your expertise)
What is the difference between the EVGA supernova GQ,GS,G2

i know people rate it this way
g2 10/10
gs 9.5/10
gq 9/10

Iknow the s stands for silent and the q for quality, but the gs is somehow better...
so can anyone go into more detail and tell me what makes the difference between those 3?

The G2 is a high end SuperFlower design.

The GS is more of a midrange design by Seasonic.

The GQ is made by FSP and while FSP is very capable they aren't the same high quality by default that SuperFlower and Seasonic are known for.

OK, fair enough, I got mine for 90 dollars. Give me one that's currently cheaper, with evidence, and is a better performer, also with evidence. And be sure it's 750W or more, gold efficiency, and modular.

Btw, I think pretty much everyone knows that with power supplies, if they work, they really can't perform better than that :/. And I love how you say build quality, it's made with high quality Japanese capacitors

Take your pick. I'll let you look up the reviews.

I'd pick any of these over a Photon. All within $5 of your stated price. Most are cheaper.

Did you even read the review you linked to?

"Build Quality (20% of the final score) - I've been mulling over that broken PCB for days trying to figure out how to score on that. It's a random thing that could happen to any OEM, but it comes from an OEM I used to see stuff like this from frequently. I think I'll pull one full point on that today, because it was in a non critical spot, and call it a day. If I see it again from Sirfa, I might be more harsh. One point more for the sleeve bearing fan. The soldering gets a half point deduction too. Love the capacitor choices though. 7.5."

Yeah......no. Really just no.

What really separates Seasonic and Super Flower from companies like Sirfa, CWT, HEC, etc... is reliabilty. Longevity cannot really be tested in a single psu review.

That doesn't mean that every single a Seasonic unit is better than every single CWT unit...

^ Exactly. A midrange Seasonic is more along the lines of a high end unit from just about anyone else. The Seasonic bar does not drop very low.

Personally, I'm still scratching my head as to why EVGA feels like it needs to clutter the market with as many similarly equipped and similarly priced psus from as many oems as possible like the G2, GS, and GQ.
