Yeah I was about to say there's no way an 80+ Gold rated unit with 100% of it's rated power available on the 12v rail is group regulated.

Can you review please the Be quiet system power b8 550 80plus please? Im in a huge facebook group that everyone suggests it for budget builds and i cant find any reviews on the internet. And everyone gone crazy with this psu.

Jonnyguru himself is not a PSU reviewer anymore. He was hired by Corsair a few years ago.

The Jonnyguru site still exists, the reviews are just done by OklahomaWolf.

As for the PSU, normally they'll need a review sample, and companies rarely sample their budget units because they're scared of a poor review. Also Jonnyguru.com is based in the US and Be Quiet! is more focused on the European market.

Seriously guys the admins of a 40.000 facebook group made for PC builds recommend this one and everyone, because 90% of them are 15 year olds , recommend it as well to others, like it's the best budget psu. it drives me crazy 😛

Jonnyguru has PSU forums http://www.jonnyguru.com/forums/ - there's a lot of experts on there who probably know some info on it, especially since there are a lot of Germans there who know Be Quiet stuff.

Man I love nice power supplies... I always find my self shopping for them, even though I do not need one at all haha.
Out of the few brands I have tried, I really enjoy EVGA. Their customer service is sooo good and heck, I filled out a rebate for a PSU, got the rebate back in less than a month!
Its been over two months still waiting on rebates from other brands.
I will always recommend EVGA GQ or G2

It's not a good psu, as such, but considering you'll be using a 700w unit to power a pc that only needs a decent 450w, there's no way you could really punish the psu enough to tax the CapXon caps the Hyper is full of. So yeah, it will work, just make sure you fill out the warranty information and send it in, there's an above average chance you'll need it in the next 3 years.

I'd trust a Seasonic X for 10 years easily. I think it has a 7 year warranty. Pretty much all the newer, high quality units are 7 to 10 years these days.

Turkey, VS550.. More than likely indo-asian market, which means Op is looking at Seasonic, Corsair, TT, Zippy and a few others at best. The 'good' psus tend to run double, if not more, than the price of the VS. Kinda makes a difference at times.

For an absolute budget system, which is better? Antec VP500P or Corsair VS450? It's for a PC with A10 APU and a GTX 1050 in it. Was kinda leaning towards the VS450 because it has 3 year warranty compared to the antec's 2 years, but on the tier list antec is tier 3 while the corsair is tier 4. It's s friend's build and he does not want to spend more than 59-70$(Australian) on it and only want to buy it instore(http://www.msy.com.au/sa/northplympton/24-power-supply) so yeah.....

The actual units have very similar performance, solidly mediocre, there's really nothing special about either. While the VP450P does rank higher, that's more to do with reliability than anything else, the sheer volume of VS on the market meaning it has a larger amount of returns by comparison, so a greater chance of getting a dud. That said, the VS does have better looking cables, the VP only sleeves the mains, and as said, it's 2yrs vrs 3yrs, so I'd be inclined to go with the VS.

support ! go for the vs unless its the vp550p , than get the vp because than its made by delta

Ive been running an aspire jsp-650p-12p for 2-3 years now (less than average usage) but am wondering where it would appear on the psu list in this thread (odds are its tier 4 or unrated but best to ask).
The only reason im mentioning it is that i think its starting to give up the ghost. Voltages are lower than they were 2 yrs ago (still getting 12.02 and 5.03 but they were 12.15 and 5.24 2 yrs ago) and my system always seems to hang before starting up or restarting (2 secs before post logo come up and another 5 or so secs before windows begins starting after bios post)... Plus motherboard is reporting 11.93 and 4.96 in bios and speedfan agrees.

EZCOOL 650W? I'm surprised it lasted this long for a no-name power supply brand.

Probably the fact it hasnt had a massive amount of use over the last 2 years (maybe once a week)... But my pc is getting used more now so i need to make sure it doesnt go haywire on me.

So i guess it needs replacing then... Damn!

I dont have the cash but need my pc at 100% so i can start my next learning endeavour (app and web dev).

I have about £25-30 quid in the budget for it at present (and some spare pc bits but nobody wants to buy an old 1st gen 15 so their pretty mich worthless lol).

I need 434w minimum, just under 550w with the 20% spare and 650w if i want it to stay quiet while i work. Suggestions are welcome

£25-£30? Not going to happen for any new psu in the 550-650w range, not for anything reputable and new. For that you'd be looking at closer to £60 for a Seasonic S12-II 620w. Your only option would be to trust in fate and shop for a psu on ebay.uk and try and find a decent psu that's probably not seen 10 years of usage. Just be careful.
