It is, almost certainly, and is an old platform. Definitely NOT recommended. That's a fire hazard waiting to happen.

Quality power supplies are difficult to find in Pakistan. From what's available there without bringing in something from outside the country I'd have to suggest he go with something from the Corsair RM, HX or AX series, or Thermaltake Toughpower Grand series. Those are all I'm seeing without ordering internationally.

NEVER, I repeat, NEVER buy anything that says FSP Everest or Epsilon. Those things are extremely bad for your system and your safety.

Shockingly pcworld sell some of the DO NOT USE brands, i remember buying a Jeantec psu from them years ago.

Newegg still sells Apevia, Logisys, Diablotek, and a variety of other Chokemax brands.

As does TigerDirect (Ultra, Raidmax, Altronix and some likely even worse brands), Amazon and all the rest. Those places are in business to sell products, not to provide reliable hardware. Don't ever make the mistake of thinking any vendor is focused on providing quality. They are focused on selling volume. They'll sell you 10 cents worth of salt for 50 bucks if you're willing to pay for it.

online seller's house brands are mostly low end psus. newegg has rosewill psus, best buy has dynex and rocketfish, insignia and so on. newegg has much better psu offerings but it also suffers from startwithgoodoemandswitchtoworsewhensalesarehigh..titis.
