Well should I be worried about that? Does it look like this would do that at all?

(Also, I'm honestly not the biggest fan of Jonnyguru's numbering system anyways. Literally he sounds like he just picks a number and goes with it. Might as well have used "PSU Boss" if there was such a thing 😉

"So, I'll do a good solid 7 here and call it a day." "Let's toss out another 8 here."

When should I be worried about the crossloading Jonny was talking about? Like what does that translate to in terms of parts? (A light TDP GPU, a heavy TDP cpu? Idk what uses what rails other than the GPU on 12)

No you will be fine. It is still an excellent unit. VERY little uses anything but the 12v rail. It is VERY unrealistic for a PSU to experience heavy 3.3v/5v load but light 12v load. Just doesn't happen. It is a test DESIGNED to put a PSU in a situation that is well beyond normal.

Okay, thank you. What tier do you think the PSU would be put in if it were on this list? (Its pretty close cousin, it seems, is a tier 1 unit 😉)

Okay thank you.

For the cooler, I recalled you saying to ditch it however I couldn't go with a bigger, better cooler because most were either too big, or far too expensive if not (all I wanted was a quieter cooler, I'm not even overclocking). I ended up getting it because of the conclusions of this thread. If it ends up being not worth it... that's alright. It was $10 and it looks cooler than the stock anyways ;P

That guy is plain wrong. Sorry. It is completely pointless. The stock cooler has a copper slug in it for better cooling and this thermaltake does not. the stock cooler will cool BETTER. The cooler you want is a low-profile cooler and WILL be decently worse than the stock cooler.

It actually won't even work on your CPU. It is only a 65w cooler designed for low end CPUs. Your CPU is 84w. It won;t cool your CPU. It will overheat if you use that cooler.

Also, you misunderstood the guy in that thread. The WHOLE time he is talking abou the Coolermaster T2, Not the low-profile cooler you have.

Again, that thermaltake is NOT COMPATIBLE with your CPU.

Well.. shucks. A few things though (and I admit I may be wrong) "It is only a 65w cooler designed for low end CPUs. Your CPU is 84w. It won;t cool your CPU. It will overheat if you use that cooler." Where'd you get the 65W #? Because I don't see that anywhere (and low profile means tinier CPU cooler, not low end CPU). I kind of doubt my CPU will overheat because my CPU is pretty decent on thermals to begin with. I'm not disagreeing that the Intel Stock cooler would be better though.. But wouldn't either honestly work?

YEah, it is clearly in the description of the item.

Inherently low-profile means worse at cooling. That is just how it is.

To answer your question, NO the Thermaltake WILL NOT WORK. It does not have the ability to properly cool your CPU. Don't even try it.

But the rest of us can't, so that makes it okay right!? v_v
My bad. Tried to make light of a serious comment, was in poor taste. Apologies Onus (and mod squad).

It was yesterday 2 years ago this list was created on Toms Hardware. It was one month and 3 days last year since it was successfully pinned. Since that day it was created, it has evolved and even had a completely new list created.

I wanna thank you all so much for your support and dedication to molding this tier list from a simple copy and paste to what it is now. Let's keep this list up to help countless more people in the future :)

Really pointless if he will just come back in 2 days and ask if another terrible is PSU is good enough for a while. He has done that numerous times now.

I was just messing with you bud. I wasn't offended, at all. :)

Okay tiny voices... Trusting you on this one so I'm soon sending it back and getting a (only partial :/ ) refund on that. Could you help me find a CHEAP quieter cooler that will work, perhaps in this thread instead so this one doesn't get off topic?

Numerous???

My wall outlet only gives 5A max(circuit breaker 5A rated). We get 230V.
I'm buying a Seasonic S12 II 520W because of the quality and the best one for the money in my area.
System load is around 360W(max) with a R7 370. Will that be a problem. Will it trip my breaker ?
The Seasonic label only says 9A. Will it go beyond 5A ?

Thanks guys

The 9 Amps is if for operation on a 100 VAC household circuit (e.g. Japan). For 230 VAC operation it should be less than 4 Amps.
