I have A KDS Avitron monitor... It is a 19" Flat Screen trinitron monitor. When I put the computer on standby mode I get a message that runs across the computer screen saying that the monitor is working properly, check the video and monitor cables. When I return to my computer and go back to the desktop I get a series of errors that ultimately lead to explorer closing. I have a feeling the there is a problem with my Bios settings. I run award Bios... I wonder if my Power management settings are wrong... Any suggestions to correct this problem?

Can be, but I think it is Windows problem, why use it anyway? monitor takes less power than yor lamp!

Try turning off Bios Power Management and use Windows Power Management. I use Windows, because I don't have to reboot to make changes, and it has always worked properly.

LOL, Windows always gets blamed first, M$ sucks.

I hate screensavers, I would rather have it shut off.

BTW, I use the same monitor. You got a better deal, I paid close to $400, 5 months ago. I get free replacement for three years as well. Good monitor, I've had no problems whatsoever.
