For PC,
Unreal (1) - "WOWed" me more than any other game in its time.
UT2004 - By far the most fun multiplayer experience I've ever had.
Half-Life
Counter-Strike
Chronicles of Riddick:EFBB
Myth II:Soulblighter

Most memorable game on any platform: Mario 64.

+1 for Total Annihilation -- I spent WAY too much time playing that game.

Also, the Origional DOOM and Dune2 (both must be played on their origional 486 hardware)

And lots of good memories from Asheron's Call - my first MMO.

Gotta be Elder Scrolls 2. At the time it seemed so ahead of everything else with changing weather, and equipment options, huge world to explore. I could geet lost for hours in that game.

As for series I have spent the most time playing the Heroes of might and magic series. Still am.

I know it may seem odd, but 'Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay'. The best all around and balanced game play. That being said, I'm a huge Fallout & Tribes fanboy

Solitaire!! just kidding....

Tank Wars anyone? (and or scortched earth)
Lemmings
Load Runner
and Cyberia! (whatever happened to that game?)

(Half-life is a given)

Hands Down - Tribes - not the new crappy series, but the original. I played it all hours of the night and was happy to get a great ping at 300 ( on 56K modem)...those were the days...sigh

[citation][nom]tpi2007[/nom]My favourite games af all time:Monkey Island 1 and 2Prince of PersiaDay of the TentacleIndiana Jones and the Fate of AtlantisDoom 1 and 2Wolfenstein 3d and Spear of DestinyQuake 3 Arena (There is now a free multi platform version called Open Arena, with new levels and the exact same gameplay - it uses Quake 3 arena's engine - it's great fun!)And more recently: Need for Speed: Most Wanted[/citation] Holy crap! Those were some awesome games! I was just thinking about fate of atlantis yesterday. I would have to add the ultimas, kings quests, below the root (first game I ever played on a pc). Out of all of them I'd have to say Ultima 7: the black gate was my all time favorite.

Fallout 2, Wacraft 2, Max Payne, Duke Nukem 3D, Diablo I & II. These games had so much replay value for me over any other games.

I forgot about police quest! Especially Police Quest IV: Open Season! With Detective John Carey. Favorite line from game, secretary at the morgue, "Detective Carey you have throbbing hands!"

Starcon2 to this day i have yet to come across a game that was so expansive as to take months to get through the thing.

and this old thing ran entirely in conventional memory (could not use extended) and would fit onto 4 floppies.

It seems my comments were removed though there was nothing wrong with them...
I voted for System Shock series which I enjoy still today and I believe to be superior to the newer Bioshock.

Heroes 2 Gold
Heroes 3 Complete
Tie Fighter: Collector's CD
Sim City 2000
Syndicate Wars
Rebel Assault 2
Duke Nukem 1
Duke Nukem 2
Duke Nukem 3D
Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project
Command & Conquer
Command & Conquer: Red Alert

Battlefield 1942/Desert Combat is the most playable and most fun FPS game I've ever played, and my all-time favorite.

Why do people post... favorite PC game of all time: Goldeneye or Mario 64, those aren't even PC games. Also compared to PC games of its day, Goldeneye is horrible.

1a) M.U.L.E. (C64 & Atari 400/800)
1b) StarCraft: Brood War (picking between M.U.L.E. and SC is like picking your favorite child. I placed M.U.L.E. first out of deference to its seniority)
2) Civilization (all versions)
3) Colonization (original MS-DOS, new version is too "Quirky" to make this list)
4) Defender of the Crown (C64 & Amiga versions)
5) Pirates! (original on C64 and recent remake on XBOX 360, both are fantastic)
6) Gunship (original on C64 only)
7) Pool of Radiance (original on C64 and MS-DOS w/EGA)
8) Bard's Take III: Thief of Fate (C64, Amiga, MS-DOS)
9) Master of Orion: II (Windows)
10) Lords of Conquest (C64)

I would have to say System Shock 2. The graphics sucked even when it came out, much less today, but it's still fun and scary as crap.
