Favorite? probably BLOOD
other good games,
Heretic
Terminal Velocity (lovely game)
Red alert , first one, spend hours and hours on that one

I wouldn't even know where to start. I know Dark Forces would be up there, EverQuest of course, Half Life, easily on the list... X-Wing/Tie Fighter, Baldur's Gate series, Age of Empires II, Starcraft. Doom II (played co-op by dialing into your buddies modem = FUN). I'd probably stop there. I'm sure i'm missing a ton of stuff, but thats just off the top of my head. Oh, i almost forgot, Betrayal at Krondor.

A djeez, memory lane. I once thought I had a heart attack playing Total Annihilation. All of a sudden this 'BAM' pain through my body. Crikey that was intense. I can still hear the sounds of construction bots all these years later. Mplayer.com baby. R6 in its various forms was good addictive fun and so were the Tribes games. A few years ago I gave up on multiplayer games because it was so hard to a) stop playing and b) wind down afterwards. I'd be laying in bed staring at the ceiling still dodging bullets, jumping into tanks and all that.

XCOM-Terror From The Deep! I've played it about 15-16 years ago and that was stunning. 16 hours per day for whole summer. Shame that they do not make that catchy games any more.

[citation][nom]farina[/nom]Diablo II, it is seriously a never ending and super engaging game...the only problem is that 800x600 resolution sucks![/citation]
Agree and agree, which will hopefully be rectified by Diablo III.

Wing Commander II was my favorite, though Hero's Quest I (Quest for Glory) and Gabriel Knight I are close. Sierra Online, how I miss thee.

But Flashback was cool too.

Hehe (almost) all you folks are far too young to remember the best interactive fiction games. My all-time favorite is COLOSSAL CAVE ADVENTURE, or just "ADVENTURE". Infocom later launched it as "Zork", and followed it with a series of games.

No graphics, just text . . . and your imagination.

Ooooooh, are we gonna do something dangerous now?

Age of Empires 2 . I play it weekly to this day. It all started with the free demo I waited for hours to download on dial-up.

Flashback was the sh**, I have a genesis copy in my closet somewhere.
That picture put a smile on my face.

-Duke Nukem(pc/psx) (yeah me too)
-Half life2(pc) (its just too damn good, multiple play through)
-Metal Gear Solid(psx)
-Resident evil series(psx/ps2)
-Orignal Zelda (nes)
-Doom (multiple) - how could this not be on a list?
-FFVII (psx)
-Super Mario World(snes)
-Streets of Rage II(gen)
-Oddworld Abe's odyssey/exodus (psx)

Asheron's call

I macroed my toon (Grieve) for 8 straight months, night and day... largest bad ass on the server. Then I sold him for $2000 :) *cough* Tax Free

Counter-Strike (and by association Half-Life mods)
Portal (and by association Half-Life 2 mods)
Unreal Tournament
Diablo 2
Dawn of War
Starcraft
Neverwinter Nights

I'm sure I'm forgetting something...

wow.... a great percentage of people here pick FPS as their favorate... few RTS fans... but not many into RPG (beside Diablo 1/2)... and very few into simulation or sport games. I am also surprised that some of us here do still remember/love those old/classic advanture games (those from Sierra).
