Mind Bender. It's a collection of the most simple awesome DOS games out there. I love that. Now since Windows does not support this DOS application anymore, I emulate it in Linux 😛

Lots of good ones. . . My all time favorite has to be Enemy Territory, not only is it a lot of fun, and very team oriented, it also is free. I shudder to think how many hours I dropped on that game instead of studying or doing something more productive.

Quake 2 CTF was also a great game online. I think that game really defined the movement and feel of FPS games.

I would say Quake 2, Deus Ex, and Kingpin. Kingpin is just too funny with the cursing!!! Q2 - Lithium and Action were great mods. UT2004 is still a favorite. Don't forget Redneck Rampage!!! Quake is still fun.

[citation][nom]rusty1404[/nom]Hmmm, the image at the top of the article looks like Jurrasic Park for the Sega Megadrive. My favourite game of all time is Grim Fandango by LucasArts.[/citation]It is actually from an old game called Flashback, not the best game ever, but it was fun and visually good for the time :).

I said HL1 before, but I think I need to add portal as a close second. Now if only valve would release some official DLC to supplement all of the map packs.

Dungeon Master

The most immersive game I can remember. My friends and I used to spend hours on end playing this game, and let me tell you, there's nothing quite like the sound of a mummy at 4am to get your heart racing!

Starcraft, despite (or maybe because?) never playing online.
great story,
challenging computer ai,
good level editor.
(like any of the craft games but i'm into sci-fi)

I'm going to have to go with Iron Storm, an alternate history FPS. What if WW1 never ended? It's set in the 60's, built on that premise. Good story line and good graphics for its time. I just replayed it, start to finish, a few months ago, and will probably continue re-installing it from time to time until I can't find an OS to support it.

Flashback - didn't play it on the PC, but I did on the Atari Jaguar (yeah, really), but I never did get to the end. That was a great game too.
