Chuckie Egg
Elite
Wing Commander
Wolfenstein 3D
Space Quest
Diablo
I have to add that 99% of the games that come out nowadays suck major bottom.

Battlefield 1942. I had so much fun playing that years ago. I logged 500 hours while on Xfire, and I no doubt played for plenty of hours not logged onto Xfire, so I got a lot of play time. Wouldn't mind going back in time to 2002-5 to play it again in its heyday when there were tons of servers and you were guaranteed a good game.

But also up there are CnC: Red Alert and GTA Vice City.

X-Wing, B-Wing, Tie Fighter, X-Wing Alliance!!!!!!!

If Lucas Arts made a sequel to these space simulators and charged $100 for it, I would buy two...just in case one disc gets scratched.

Deus Ex, both Max Paynes, the Gothic Games, and the Original Unreal Tournament. Deus Ex was so awesome even if it bought my poor K6-2 400 (overclocked to 450) and TNT2 system to it's knees. Max Payne is just, well the most bad ass thing ever 😀. As for Gothic the first one just impressed me so much with its depth and the fact that all the interactions were voiced in an RPG (I had just finished Morrowind). The story is great, the characters are great, and I loved how they went through the whole game voicing everything yet still managing to avoid giving the main character a name. The second was good too as a continuation of the first, but I guess I just had more hopes for it. The third iteration of the game was plauged with so many bugs and I couldn't believe how it stressed my Athlon 3000 and 1950GT. Heck it isn't even completely smooth on my overclocked 5000X2 and 3850 when I turn up the details. Even with all it's bugs and short comings, G3 still feels like an unfinished game to me, it was a very good game in its own right, but the sequels just don't top the awesomeness that was the first Gothic. As for UT, I just thought it was so great the way it said "Head Shot" with the sniper rifle. I also liked to dual wield the pistols, but it was normally more annoying than anything ^_^.

Well, there's a lot of games, but Deus Ex is da game. Great history. Great gameplay. Great game! And JC's bro can be saved, so when you go in the lab inside the unatco you find him alive with reyes.

And, in second place, a RTS usually downrated: Urban Assault. I reinstalled thousands of times. I dream of a lan match using the &@/&%$ taerkastens. Host station its critical!

RTS............Age of empires

FPS............Crysis

Racing.........Need for Speed Most Wanted (Black Edition)

RPG............Oblivion!

Most Unique....Overlord

ok quake 2 yes but more specifically the best FPS mod of all time ACTION QUAKE for quake 2. there was a action half life mod for half-life but it just couldn't touch AQ2 with gamespy

Ok i have to say Flashback was very good! I have to say the game i played the most is Age of Empire 2. But the best of all time... Doom II.

1. Dungeon Keeper
2. Diablo II
3. Alone in the Dark 4
4. Freelancer
5. Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay
6. Syberia (I&II)
and many more...

If I have to choose only one it would be Dungeon Keeper 'cause there is no other game similar. All other have somekind (usually much worse) clone of some sorts but the Bullfrog creation is unique. Or maybe I missed it?

Everquest 1, quit after Gates of Discord for real life, but by far the most fun I have ever had playing games. HL1/2 come to mind as well, but EQ and Planes of Power especially kicked the dogs bollocks imo.
