Question Question about Fractal Design R3 connectors

I have a question, doh . .
This new case I got has got wiring beyond my current understanding

These two connectors have exactly same female molex order

My motherboard which is Asus p8z77 - V lk
Has one spot with male pinning matching

I tried to plug the voltage input which I think is from the power switch but it did not start.
Also my power which is native from HP Compaq Elite 8200 320w had strange barely hearable beaming noise coming from it when plugged in

According to your motherboard manual, page 2-21 your board supports both. So you can use either one.

I tried plugin in the ac '97 connector into the SPDF out but the computer did not start. . the case from which the connectors come from is Fractal Design MODEL: FD-CA-DEF-R3-USB3, according to pcpartpicker.com this case should go with the motherboard

It should go onto the AAFP connector, just below the SPDIF_OUT. See page 2-2 in the mobo manual. If you haven't read it, you can find it here.

Thank you, very helpful. I think the problem is the power, which is 320w from my old Compaq PC, it is inadequite I think. In the mobo guide it says that atleast 450w ATX power will power this mobo. . so I will work my way to aquire one.

So I received new power (Corsair CX550M) and am now installing this hardware, I have a question ; where does that connector which come from hard drives(I have double hard drive setup which are both connected to the same SATA cable and this connector as seen in the picture 1) go to? Looks line there are only one option and that is directly to the power as seen in the picture there are one spot available for this kind of connector in the middle of the 6+2 PCI connector (picture 2)

Did that sata power cable come with your new PSU or is it something from your old PSU? The two sata power cables that should come with a CX 550M has a six pin connector that goes in one of the six pin periferal & sata outlets on the PSU, seen in your picture 2. Never use cables from another PSU.
