You're welcome! I suggest you go for a Titan X because if you go for a card with 6 GB of vram it might not be enough to run games like shadow of mordor on ultra.

Probably more games as demanding as shadow of mordor could come out, but shadow of mordor used an abnormal amount of vram.
I might get a Titan X, but I will after all wait until the end of June, when Nvidia and AMD release their new GPUs, then I'll make my pick.
Honestly, 6 gb vram should be enough for 1440p. Then there is the possibility that DirectX 12 could combine vram.
I think that two 980Ti's will blow one Titan X out of the water, at a lesser cost.

Yes, the shadow of mordor ULTRA texture pack is ridiculous. I think its made for playing at 4k resolution though, because at 1080p, all I notice is a 10 fps drop, with no visual improvement.

I notice a significant visual improvement @ 1440p with 12 GB of Vram.

Call of duty Advanced Warfare can use the full 12 GB however this option can be disabled...

AC Unity, Evolve and Watchdogs use lots of Vram however 6 GB for 1440p should be more than enough... there are more however the above are what come to mind...

That should work unless they start releasing more games like shadow of Mordor...

Yeah, price is a big factor in the choice I make. It is speculated that the 980Ti will be $650 or more and the regular 980 will drop down to $500. Even if the 980Ti would be $300+ more than the Titan X, they would be more powerful than the Titan X and justify the price.

I doubt that the 980 ti will be faster than the Titan x. My guess is 10% slower.

I've seen articles saying it will be available in 4gb and 8gb, I would think it will be cheaper then the titan x but we will have to wait and see. I wish they would just unleash the damn thung already ☺
