So they have fixed the drivers issues of the 295x2? Been a while since i look at it though (driver support and otherwise). Nice to see they that they made the card more attractive to people playing at a high resolution.

Yeah I'm definitely not getting 970 SLI or 980 SLI due to the vram. I'll probably just wait for the 980Ti to be released, or I'll get one Titan X and get a second one later. But I'm thinking about two 980Ti's. Do you think the R9 295X2 is worth considering?
I also might get the AMD 390X when it's announced this June. In estimated benchmarks, they are seen performing better than the Titan X.
Guess we'll just have to wait and see.
I can wait though, I don't want to buy a GPU only to have better ones be released a month later.

Price may not be a concern:

The 980 SLI setup has same amount of VRAM as the 295x2, but the 295x2 is vastly cheaper, at only $619 on newegg.

What if the 390x comes out and beats the titan x, just like the 290x did with the titan but at a much lower price point? The 980ti can't beat the titan x like the 780ti beat the titan because the GM204 is already fully unlocked for the titan x.

Titan X is a fully unlocked GM 200...

980 is a fully unlocked GM 204...

I doubt the 390x will be faster than the Titan X & cost less...

Titan X is an excellent overclocker....

Yeah the 980Ti is reportedly GM200-310 GPU. It will be less powerful than the Titan X, but two of them would probably be more powerful than a Titan X.
The 980Ti and 390x are most likely coming out by the end of June.
I may end up going for a 390x. I'll just wait until all new GPUs are released and then I'll make my pick.
I may very well end up getting a Titan X if the other cards aren't as good as rumored or too expensive or something like that. The 980Ti's 6 gb of vram would be perfect for 1440p, who the hell needs 12 gb for gaming anyways?
One more thing, is the 32 gb minimum ram for the Titan X real or just a typo?
