I think the card will have a 8 GB version or only 8 GB.

Ahh of course. If that benchmark above is true, and the 390X is that powerful whilst being not too expensive, I might go with those SLI.
Are there any advantages or disadvantages to having Nvidia vs. AMD cards?

I doubt that benchmark is correct...

In my opinion SLI works better than crossfire, in general Nvidia has better drivers in my opinion.
Nviida generally uses less power and is cooler and quieter.

Many games such as the Witcher 3 will play better on Nvidia cards. " Game Works"

Nvidia cards are better for overclocking...

I'm glad AMD is around, competition is good for the industry.

If the 390x has 8 Gb frame buffer then the card might last longer than the 980 ti.

For example I would rather have the 290x then the 780 ti today because 4 gb of vram is better than 3 however I prefer the gtx 980.

The 980 Ti or whatever they call it or Titan X is the way to go in my opinion...
By the time there are more games that utilize more than the 6 GB pascal will come out.

" Time to upgrade again lol"

Just tried the Witcher, The graphics are great, the game is fun and has a good story...

So far the game used a little bit over 2 Gb of vram at 1440p Ultra plus HBAO...

Jeez, and the Witcher is supposed to be one of the most graphically demanding games.
I think it'll be a while before pascal comes out and games utilize more than 6 gb vram.
I hope the 980Ti is announced at Computex!

One of my friends has the XB270HU and really likes it...
My friend told me that the monitor had zero issue's.
I've never tried it....

Yeah I heard that too and that it could be like $800+. Tbh, I don't really care for it, I'd rather go with an Nvidia card.
I'm so excited, the 980Ti is rumored to be coming at Computex!

I wouldn't buy the AMD card strictly for gaming either however i'm just interested in the industry news.
I'm also interested in the new memory architecture

I'm very happy with My Titan X, I've never been so satisfied with a video card...
I've used 5 different Nvidia cards in the last couple years...

Nvidia cards it is then.
I'll do exactly what Sav4 recommended. I'll either go SLI 980Ti if it "ticks all of the boxes for me," or I'll just go with one Titan X, which hopefully will drop in price, and SLI later.
