[SOLVED] Ram not running at full speed after upgrade on ASUS laptop

model: Asus tuf fx504
ram upgrade: hyperx 8gb 2666Mhz
Before the upgrade, the ram speed was 2666Mhz but after I upgraded, the speed fell down to 2400Mhz.
I checked the bios menu but there is no Ai-tweaker or XMP profile option.
What are my options?

Try it with the old sticks
Could be motherboard compatibility issue
I think Linus Tech Tips had this issue when they used laptop ram as desktop using an adapter
