I recently bought a new mainboard after my old one stopped working. When I got it I installed the CPU, RAM, a buzzer and plugged in the PSU to check if its working or not. It started and I didnt hear any beeps.
After that I started to build together the PC. When i installed the CPU cooler I had problems with tightening the screws for the backplate and I had a feeling that they were too loose. I didnt care that much about it because I first wanted to check if everything is working.
I tried to start the PC and everything worked fine. I started up a stress test to see if the temperatures are higher than normal and it turned out they are. I thought that I need to tighten the CPU Cooler more so I did it. After that the following error appeared when I tried to start the PC: "The following Channel memory did not pass CPU memory test.
Please remove the memory then plug again.
Channel B"
This was fixed when I took out the memory in B slot, but I didnt want to just use 8GB of RAM when I had 16GB so I looked in the internet and found out it might have been the CPU cooler that is too tight. I uninstalled the CPU cooler and reinstalled it again. But then nothing happened when I tried to start the PC. Just a black screen and a few beeps(4short beeps and the onboard DeBug LED showed 55 which indicates memory error) before restarting and doing the same sounds.
I dont know what to do.
Mainboard: ASRock Z87 Extreme4
CPU: I7-4790k
RAM: 2x8GB HyperX Savage 2400MHz
GPU: ASUS STRIX GTX 970
CPU Cooler: CoolerMaster Hyper 412S
PSU: XFX TS Series 750W
Thanks in advance for any answers/ideas to fix this problem.
