If you have dual-channel mobo then 2x4gb is better. If you don't then 1x8GB 2133Mhz but I'm not sure that you have the right processor and mobo for 2133Mhz speed. Can you write here which cpu and motherboard you have

Yeah your mobo and cpu support up to DDR3 3000(O.C.). Still I would go with 2x4GB because dual channel gives you 10-15% speed increase. It also depends on CL of your RAM modules.

Can you get 2x4GB 1866MHz? Should be almost the same price as 1600mhz... also which CL number does 4gb modules have and which CL does 8gb one has

Ok, so I found 1x8gb 2400MHZ is C11
And 2X4GB 2400MHZ is C11, but considerably cheaper
2x4GB 1866MHZ is C9, £1 cheaper than the one above
2x4GB 1600MHZ is C9 and same price as one above

I surprisingly found that the second one is the cheapest, I wonder why
I am guessing that the higher the C number the slower it is?
So is it better to get 2X4GB 2400MHZ, 2x4GB 1866MHZ, or 2x4GB 1600MHZ?
