Hello, I have planned to update my PC to buy a new one the next year, what can i upgrade to use until that? I want to make less changes possible, i was thinking in a pentium g4560 and keeping the motherboard and everthing else, what do you recomend me? (My english is really bad, i know)
Current specifications:
Intel core i3 2120 3.30GHz
8gb dual-channel Hyperx fury 665MHz
Gygabite H61M-S1
GTX 950
500GB Seagate 7200rpm

Solution
After looking at all the available prices at both the retailers I could find in Argentina and on Amazon Spain, I think I came to the same conclusion that a CPU that fits your current board MIGHT be the best option. Again, the biggest problem here is going to be finding one within your own country, if you can, to avoid the problems with customs. Ebay shipments from outside your country will be subject to customs processing so if you can find an i5-2500 or i7-2600, or any of their variants, that probably is the best option without investing a bit more than you'd like to, much as both Vic and nonsense have recommended.

For about 5281 peso or thereabouts, you could probably get into something much newer, but of course not everybody can...
I don't know. At 4000 pesos that's almost as much as you could get into a MUCH newer platform, with motherboard, memory and CPU for. I guess 2500 pesos for the i5 isn't HORRIBLE for where you are, but considering that's 142.00 US for a used processor. Might be worth buying from elsewhere and paying shipping if that's the case. Hold off, I'll look into what you'd actually have to do to get something through Amazon.

Ok, i search in amazon.co.uk, but find a second generation processor being sold by amazon is difficult, too old i think, if i dont have other choise i will buy that, we are used to high prices here

This is about the best setup I can put together from Amazon UK, at the least price, that's even worth doing really. This would give you Kaby Lake i5-7500 level performance for about 30% less than Kaby lake.

You can check other Amazon's and compare prices, but these Coffee lake processors are less expensive for equivalent performance than the Kaby lake or even Skylake setups if comparing equal performance.

I want to change the processor mainly to use it until I buy the new pc and the current one I will leave it to my brother, that's why I do not want to spend too much, I think the only option I have left is to buy the i5-2500k

anyway I knew that with the budget I had, i cant get anything especially good, I think that the i3 does not give for more and wanted a small upgrade, the i7 for 227 usd is not worth it right?

Not really. Because for another 75 bucks you can get that Coffee lake i3-CPU, motherboard and memory, which is going to be a lot better performance AND have support for instructions and codecs that are not supported by that older i7. If you spend that much money you might just as well upgrade the whole shebang. If you're giving it to your brother, just get the i5 and save the money for YOUR system.

Ok, then I will buy the i5, I found an i7 cheaper than the i5 (https://articulo.mercadolibre.com.ar/MLA-689821481-procesador-cooler-intel-core-i7-2600-liquido-_JM) but it does not seem very reliable, if I get more info from that i7 I might buy it, anyway, I stop bothering you, thanks for the tips :)
