Recommendations for multimedia HD requested

Hi

Could anyone please recommend a multimedia external HD (2TB or greater) for directly (ie no PC needed) playing music, especially flac and ape formats

Do they even have such a thing? a 2TB HD as a media player would be rather large and would they have to include some processor and operating system. If they are available they wouldnt be cheap.
