Question Recommendations on current build

Currently this is my build:
Ryzen 5 1600
Nvidia GTX 1080
16gb Corsair vengeance 3000mhz Ram
ASUS ROG STRIX B350-F Socket AM4 AMD B350 DDR4
Did I cut corners when I came to the build should I have bought a more expensive cpu to go alongside the 1080 or is that build good enough?

Unless you are not really strapped for cash, R5 3600 would go much better with that GPU. 2600x at minimum.

Not really strapped for cash could upgrade to whatever tbh

If I'm not mistaken, it's primarily for gaming so 3600 would be better. Just have to be sure that MB has Ryzen 3rd gen compatible BIOS, That being a 350 chipset 2nd gen Ryzen BIOS compatibility is also not guaranteed. Would be easier with b450 chipset boards.

Yeah I wish I would have went all out to begin with and built an Intel build, but I was told AMD was the way to go, best value for money and all that
