Reinstall vista

Hello,
I have a pc that was preinstalled with vista but needs formatting, I don't have a vista disc but have the sticker on the base of the laptop, can I use another vista disc and simply use the key from the sticker to install it? many thx.

If you have a preinstalled OS, then chances are you have restore partition to get it back to factory settings. Alternativly you can buy a set of restore disks for a nominal fee from the maker.
If you tell make and model, someone will know how to access the restore partition.
