Ive windows 10 pro installed in a 250gb Sata SSD drive. Activated with a MAK licence. I've reinstalled a clean copy of windows 10 with the media creation tool 2-3 times a year. Reinstalling doesn't require entering a key and doesn't use up an extra activation licence when done on the same HDD (or even a smaller partition of that drive).

Does anyone know if reinstalling windows on a newly installed M2 drive will require a new activation?

Awesome thanks!

I actually between 2013 and 2019 the Z87-A mobo was swapped for a Z97-E mobo, Nvidia brand GTX 660 Si was swapped with an Asus GTX 970, EVGA 500watt PSU was swapped with a 650watt corsair psu, GSkill 2x4gb 1333mhz ram was swapped with corsair 2x8gb 2666mhz ram. Also, not that it would matter, but Optical drive, mechanical HDD for storage, Heat sink, cpu fan, case, case fans, mouse, speakers, keyboard, monitor were all replaced. The OS/MAK key was for windows 7 was upgraded free in 2015. Ive installed/reinstalled win 10 at least 15 times, never needed to reactivate win 10.

The only thing from this PC that's the same as the first activation is the original SSD.

Ive got a Theseus Ship thing going on
