Hello, I currently own a Gigabye MAYA II r9700pro, and I just bought a VGA-Silencer by artic-cooler online, because the small fan on my vid card is not cooling it well and it is having some heating problems. ANYWAY, I was inspecting the heatsink and I noticed I could pop up 2 white spring pins from the bottom of the card, after doing this the heatsink was still tight on the card. Could the heatsink be glued down or am I missing something? If it is glued down what is the best and safest way to remove a glued down heatsink off a GPU?

it shouldnt be glued down, it should just pop right off. try wiggling it a lil bit.

Well, its still flat on there and not budging, should the plastic pins come off all the way because they just pop up half-way from underneath the vid card

they should have clip like things that poke thru the bottom, just squeeze them and make sur they go all the way thru the pcb and your gpu hs/f should come off.
