APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: (e.g.: this week (the closer the better))

This week

BUDGET RANGE: (e.g.: USD $150-250) Before / After Rebates

$200-$400

Maybe a teeny bit over $400

USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: (e.g.: Gaming [and what games you want it to play - a card for WoW only will be much different than one for Crysis 3 or Bioshock Infinite at full settings], Folding@Home, home theater/watching movies, Adobe Creative Suite 5/6, Autodesk Architectural Suite 2014, etc )

Gaming, schooling. Games would be Call of Duty, Battlefield, Sims 4, the new Harry Potter game.

CURRENT GPU AND POWER SUPPLY: (e.g., EVGA Geforce GTX 560TI and Rosewill Hive 650W PSU - without this info, it's really hard to help you)

I bought a pre-built gaming PC by CLX Gaming from a friend but the GPU was sold to someone else. So this  had a Geforce RTX 3070 Ti. PSU - 750W PSU HELIOS P2 GOLD

OTHER RELEVANT SYSTEM SPECS: (e.g., make/model of CPU, MoBo, memory - this can help us determine whether or not a given card is compatible with and makes sense for your system. For high-end cards, knowing your case/cooling setup may also be helpful)

Core i9-10900KF 3.7GHz 10C/20T 20Mb
ASROCK Z590 Phantom Gamit LGA1200 2x16 4D4 M128 ATX
4x GEIL 8GB DDR4-3200 Red RGB
500GB CRUCIAL P2 PCIe 3.0 NVMe M.2 SSD
SEAGATE 2TB SATA3 256MB Cache Baracuda HDD
ASETEK 240mm Liquid Cooler for CPUs
GAMDIAS SAKARA M1 ATX White W/ 4 RGB Fans

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: (e.g.: newegg.com, ncix.com -- to show us selection & pricing)

Amazon, Newegg, Tigerdirect?, wherever

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: (e.g.: Grand Fenwick) US

If you do not know of a store for your country this thread will point you in the right direction: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-1643019/guide-international-users-links-part-stores.html

Tom's Hardware gets users from literally all over the world. Knowing the pricing and availability of parts relative to where you live will help us (the community) to help you (the original poster) better.

PARTS PREFERENCES: (e.g., if you will only use AMD cards, want PhysX card, prefer XFX cards over Sapphire cards, etc., tell us)

Prefer AMD

OVERCLOCKING: Yes / No / Maybe
SLI OR CROSSFIRE: Yes / No / Maybe

No to both of those because I'm not sure what they are

MONITOR RESOLUTION: (e.g.: 1024x768, 1280x1024, 1440x900, 1600x1200, 1680x1050, 1920x1080, 1920x1200)

I'm not exactly sure. I've never booted the computer myself.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: (e.g.: Need to have better than stock cooling; Want a card with a lifetime warranty; Must run Crysis 3 with full AA on a three-display setup, etc.)

If you need any more information please leave a comment and I'll explain the best I can!

REMEMBER: The more information we have about your system, your budget, and what you're using the card for, the better the advice we can give you - providing it up front gets you your answers and puts a card in your hands that much faster!

So this had a Geforce RTX 3070 Ti.
Your post is misleading. You're not replacing RTX 3070 ti.
You have a pc without any gpu and need a new one.

Your budget gives you RX 7600 / RTX 4060.
If you can get RTX 3070 Ti for $400, then that would be significantly better purchase. Similar performance to RTX 4060 Ti.

I'd strongly advise considering the used market, including private sellers on ebay.
This guy ended up being banned before I can ask but can anyone concur with this statement? I didn't realize how bad the market for mid-level graphics cards were ATM.

I was contemplating going used but not sure it's worth the discount or not.

Any insight is helpful, thanks!

It was only for a day, due to saying a poopie word.
And I wouldn't have posted those two ebay listings if I was uncomfortable purchasing from those sellers, myself.

My current GPU was acquired on ebay
Look for "USED" components, sold by private sellers with good positive feedback percentages.
Even if the seller states "No Returns" on their listings, If an item is received which isn't as described, they must send you a return shipping label, and either send a replacement or process a refund.
Always leave good feedback regardless and contact the seller in the event of an issue.
Don't be afraid to participate in ebay Auction listings.
The best strategy when bidding is to only enter a bid once, entering the maximum amount you're willing to pay.
This is how I won my 3090FE. I entered a bid for something like $781 (I don't remember exactly) and won it for $664.14 (minus taxes).
A GPU received from ebay which works as listed is a legit sale/purchase. Whether it survives or not later is not on them.
I scored an RTX 3090 FE with an installed Bykski double sided waterblock from ebay for $664.14, shipped, November 2023 and it's still going strong.

Be careful, but I’ve had good luck with eBay. As someone who sells occasionally on there, your sellers have incentive to have good feedback. Just make sure you read the description and look at pictures very carefully.

Even if they say no returns, eBay has a money back guarantee which I think allows you to get a refund within 30 days if the item isn’t as described. If you order using eBay, install the card ASAP and run it to be sure it’s working well before that 30 days is up.
Well the money back guarantee is an eBay guarantee. So eBay can try to force it. But sellers usually have an incentive to sell good stuff to keep up their rep as it can take years to build that positive feedback.
Proof: The HDD was bad. Always leave positive feedback. Those who have positive feedback will make it right regardless.

Correct. Yes. Ebay didn't need to step in for a resolution.

Search criteria used, when I was searching for GPU's for you,
1. Condition: USED
2. Item Location: US Only
(specify your location, when purchasing sensitive items. simplifying shipping and returns)
3. If you know what you're looking for, specify Memory Type and Amount
Example: DDR6 and 16GB

Yes definitely stay away from cards listed as parts only. Also carefully read the description in case you would need to file a claim. If I were shopping for a 3080 I'd avoid this first one for example. It may be totally fine but the person has no feedback and no description really.

Like this card I'd probably pass on.

Also I'd pass on this one. Good price but they say the card runs hot. So I wouldn't go into that situation.

This one below I'd be tempted because the person seems to have decent feedback. Even though they say no returns, ebay has the money back guarantee, so if you would buy it, I'd install it asap and run it hard for a few days to a week or so to be sure it was working.

I'd be tempted by this one as well.

Multiple examples but a few ideas.

I agree, this is a good one. Reasonable shipping price also.
Though, depending on their packaging ability, I might request it be shipped via USPS instead of UPS.
One could shoot the seller a message prior purchasing it and see what they say.
