Hi everyone,
I previously had a gtx 970 running resolution 2560x1440 on a 27 inch dell monitor using dvi dual cable. I upgraded my gpu to rtx2080 and using a hdmi cable because it doesnt support dvi .
Now my resolution is maxed at 1920x1080.
All the help is much appreciated.
Thank you in advance

Which monitor?
A DVI-D can run monitors up to 2560 x 1600 and HDMI 2.0 up to 4K 60.

It's impossible that your resolution is maxed out to 1920 x 1080 with HDMI.

Make sure your display driver is up to date.
It's entirely possible for displays to have limited implementations of HDMI.
