Sounds like you need to update your video card drivers.

I think you need to install a latest Remote Desktop connection client.

In addition to the other two comments, take a look at
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=323353&product=winsvr2003#Task2
and make sure that this gp object is set appropriately.
