Hi I am currently looking to upgrade my old rig into something thats decent. I want to play the newest games to the best quality I can. I also want to try picking up the basics of video and image editing software, streaming for my friends, and overall multitasking many programs and learning as much as I can. Those are my goals with this build, and while I probably wont run anything too intensive, I am going from a gtx 750/ASUS M5A 78L-M on a prebuilt HP pavilion elite e9120y. So I would be treating this as my first real computer, really hungry to get as much as I can out of a PC. With that being said here are the components I'm looking at please give me your thoughts, advice, and any feedback you feel is useful for me: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/JetFury/saved/QXQTYJ

Now I'm just going to drop some notes here to help ease any suggestions you all might have.

1. GPU/Motherboard: These two I actually already bought, as I saw a special and had to go for it given the current state of things I couldn't afford not to. So these two components are pretty much solid and set in stone

2. Monitor: For under 200 (at the time) i couldn't find another with a better refresh rate and response time than what I chose. There is one that's slightly better for a bigger screen and improved res but for 100 more I would only consider it if there was a big sale, or my chosen ASUS went out of stock. And at that point might as well go 1440p I feel

3. Case: I looked through a lot and I actually really like the look and configuration of Lian Li. It has great airflow, decent cable management and solid materials from what people have said in reviews, BUT one of the front I/O ports is type c and my motherboard doesn't support that. I've been recommended to get both of these items, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WG8ZJ4...abc_KGER7VTKSFHQS19PXEEB?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 and https://www.amazon.com/LianLi-Lanco...65573&pd_rd_wg=oJVdN&pd_rd_i=B082W948ZK&psc=1
Will those suffice to address this or would I need something else?
In case someone thinks there's a better case to be had for a not too much higher price point instead, I will say that I am partial to a white color theme.

4. CPU: 5600x. Im stuck between this and the 5800x. I know 5600 is probably the best since its hard to justify an extra $80 for the minimal improvements of the 5800x but maybe itll go on sale if amd drops their prices soon. Or maybe intel will influence them to do so now that alder lake has dropped.

5. AIO cooler: Nothing much to be said. I went with this one from some of the videos I watched. I don't know if anyone has any information on what to look for if I should switch this out

6. Memory/Storage: I am fairly confident with these choices because of established feedback and pricing specially. I am 100% on wanting four 8gb sticks of ram to guarantee dual rank, at 16 CAS latency running at 3600 MHz speed. Actually, I am considering buying these now instead of waiting for sales in case they run out of stock.

7. PSU: 850w for $130 seems like a good price. Reliable brand and more power doesn't hurt right?

8. Peripherals: As for the Keyboard, Mouse, and Speakers.... well I just chose them as placeholders for the most part. For the mouse I just want a few buttons (4-8) on the side, for the keyboard some playback buttons, RGB/sound dials or other extras would be nice. I just don't want a tiny product with just the basic keys and no backboard, and while I like softkeys and would prefer to no longer have loud typing, I am told mechanical keyboards are what's best for gaming? So I guess that's something I'm considering...Ideally I'd like to spend no more than somewhere in the 100-120 range for both keyboard and mouse. I know nothing about speakers so I could do some more research on this. Though I am willing to drop up to 50 on them, so hopefully someone knows what to look for in them.

9. Case Fans: Three 120mm, comes with an rbg controller. My motherboard should allow me to control the fan speed as they are 4 pin PWM, so I think here the only consideration will be whether there's enough room in the case for them to be a comfortable fit.

So that should just about cover it. Please give me your thoughts on the build as it is, if you would replace it with anything, overall prices, and whether you would wait until the holidays deals kick in or buy now.

Lastly, I will say those gaming chairs that run for 90-100 dollars are cheap and I will never buy them again!

For the case, you might want to consider Corsair 5000D, it has USB Type C and has good airflow (Skip to 15:40 of the video to see the comparison graph).

Yes, the more power headroom you have, the cooler the PSU can run. It doesn't hurt to add more wattage headroom, it actually benefits you.
You get what you pay for especially in the realm of PSUs. Quality components are a must to ensure everything can be safely powered in your PC.
PSU Tier list in my sig if you want to look at other PSU models.

True, you might want to wait a bit and see how AMD reacts when Alder Lake has dropped. If they drop their prices to stay competitive, it will be to your advantage.

Your motherboard does support the memory in its QVL list, given you're planning for a Vermeer CPU (Codename for all AMD Ryzen 5000 series CPUs)

Agree on that too. They're absolute waste of money in my experience. The fact that they come with 2 pillows (one at the head rest and one at the bottom) kind of defeats the purpose of supporting your back. Also notice the shape of the seat actually resembles that for cars, where it is designed for your feet to reach the pedal at an angle, rather than your feet resting on the ground directly as with a proper chair seat.

I bought an ergonomic chair recently, the only downside is that it can't recline unlike a gaming chair but it feels REWARDING to sit upright and it has proper lumbar support (Very important). Gas lifts for these are also easily replaceable that I keep spares for just when I need to replace them.

I leave the CPU AIO cooler for others to suggest.

Looks good. Only thing I'd change is the RAM to 2x16GB. btw a 650w psu will easily power that system and you can get by with cheaper cooling.
