Ripjaws made to overclock ?

Are g skill ripjaw ram made to overclock ? Cause im planing to buy ripjaws .My friend said they were

They are not the best OCing ram out there.

I have a set of 1600 MHz CL9 Ripjaws and was only able to get them up to 1780 MHz.

I also have a set of Kingston HyperX blu ram, same 1600 MHz and can take them well over 2000 MHz.
