Game powers up fine, the game seems to work on its own will MEANING
sometimes it won't start when the 1 or 2 player button is pressed. When
it does start it will only shoot up and down or won't shoot at all.
Sometimes it works fine. I would just like the game to be consistant. I
am assuming its a grounding issue, and i've checked all the connections
under the control panel and at the connector. I have swapped out the
smaller interconnect board and i'm pretty stumped. I'm pretty sure its
not either of my two boardsets as they worked fine in the previous game
I recently sold. Any suggestions would definitely help.

Have you gone into the test mode and checked the buttons on the test
screen.
I have had a similar problem and it was a combination of poor ground
connection at the control panel connector and dirty leaf switch
contacts.

To clean the contacts place a business card between the contacts pinch
them together with your fingers and move the card back and forth.

Some people recommend sand paper but I would advise against this,
because it can leave grit on the contacts which causes a poor
connection and also it shortens there life span

Thanks for the advice i'll try anything at this point. Another odd
thing is that sometimes after i go into test mode the game will fire
right up

Game was working fine, now it will only shoot up and down. When I go
into test mode all the buttons and joysticks register that they are
working. Any suggestions???
