I see that the ray tracing cores on the RTX 2060 can add more realistic lighting at faster speeds in games, but do those RT cores have any benefit in 2D video editing/rendering in Premiere? Will there be a noticeable difference in render times if I go with the GTX 1660 instead of the RTX 2060? Also, how does the super (s) designation of some models affect performance?

Solution
The rtx 2060 will be about 15-30% faster then a 1660S at encoding, the large range is due to the encoder and resolution. I would normally refer to puget systems benchmarks, but they have no recent benchmarks that include the vastly improved gpu encoders. :(

Well the 2060 is a much more capable GPU without the RT cores and the Supereams it’s closer to the next card up. A 2060S is closer to a 2070 than a 2060 and the 2070S is closer to the 2080 than the 2070. Also the 2060S has 8GB of VRAM vs 6.
