I recently upgraded my PC build with a Zotac RTX 2080TI GPU. I am worried that one of my old PC parts are causing a bottleneck with the GPU disallowing it to give me the maximum FPS.
I currently have the following build:

CPU: I7-6700K 4.0 GHZ 8M Cache
FAN: CPU Frozer L
GPU: Zotac RTX 2080 TI AMP
RAM: DDR4 16GB Kingston 2400 MHZ
Motherboard: MSI Z270 Gaming Plus
Monitor: LED LG 24" GM79G (144 hz)
SSD: Kingston 480GB
HDD: 2TB SATA RE

The issue is that I notice huge FPS drops when turning VSYNC off. (from 140 fps to 60fps )
The game runs smoothly if I turn VSync on but it would get stuck at 144 FPS only.
The game I am talking about here in this case is PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS game (PUBG)
I am ready to perform any benchmark/HW test and post results here if needed. I have a good budget so please let me know what to change in my build to have maximum FPS without frame drops.

thank you

well if you would upgrade your cpu you would need to upgrade your motherboard too.
and if you would upgrade what do you plan on going for?
the 6700k should be fine to be paired with a 2080ti.

btw whats your powersupply?
