Question RX 5700XT Red Devil Thermal Pads

I got this GPU as an exchange for my 2070 and yeah here we go. I think this 5700XT is after mining (or just using without care in dusty environment, cuz was sweat as hell, and radiator was really rusty from salt, like someone was running it next to the ocean. So I cleaned all, even bracket mount, on ports side (alos painted black). So basically looks like new and runs much cooler like (81C before and 74C after OC bios) but the thermal pads are literally dried and hard at the middle. 94C on mem and 89-90 after just cleaning.

I'll be changing them today, that's why I would like to ask, if it's necessary and helpful to put some pads between backplate and vram place on a back of PCB ? It that's pointless cuz heat from backplate would just back to vram through the pads ?

Seems like a rotten deal since the 5700XT is only...15% faster than a 2070. My condolences

Typically the VRAM benefits from adding pads between the board and the backplate directly behind each VRAM chip, yes.

Will backplate pads lower your VRAM temps by 20C? No
