Question Ryzen 5 7600X or Intel 14600k for new gaming build ?

The below Specs that I am planning but not sure if there are other similar components good in that same budget.
So require help.


Ryzen 5 7600x
( Now Intel 14600k is just 12$ more than 7600x )
MSI b650m gaming wifi
WD black sn770 1TB ssd
Kingston Fury Beast 2x16gb 6000mhz Cl36 RAM
MSI A750GL 750 psu
Deepcool AG400 CPU Cooler
Ant eSports 410TG Case
Gigabyte M27Q 2k monitor or Benq EX240 IPS 1080p monitor ( now everything is upscaling so should I go towards 2k or stick with 1080p, I do play all games AAA and competitive)
GPU I'm thinking of AMD 9070 if price is similar to 7800XT or below and good for 2k gaming.(Nvidia 5070 is premium but those UE5 games favour to nvidia makes me worried...

New GPU power connectors require newer compatible PSU?

Thinking of using this build for atleast 2-3 years if UE5 don't mess with the upcoming games.

I see Intel 14600k shows much better than Ryzen 5 7600 in some youtube videos but shows approx 200w usage compare to 100w on ryzen 7600x.
Is it wise pick to go with intel or i stick with AMD.
If 14600k is better choice then suggest b760m motherboard with good vrms at similar price of AMD mentioned above.

7600x. The Intel platform is dead essentially. The am5 platform is supported through 2027 per amd. So in a year or two you’d be amor to upgrade the cpu.

What about the monitor pick 2k (Gigabyte m27q)or 1080p( benq ex240) ? Considering 7800 xt or 9070 GPU if pricing is same and considering upscaling is goto now a days

Personally, get the 1440p monitor. One of the best visual upgrades I did was going 1440p. You may find you don’t have to do a lot of upscaling.

Can’t speak for the gigabyte, but pretty sure this is the monitor I’m running and I’m happy with it.

1440p it is. Gigabyte m27q reviews says it has good colors and much less response and motion blur for gaming...

Can’t speak to all it, you can certainly read reviews on Newegg at the link I sent. I will say I had a VA panel monitor before, and when I hooked up the msi, the colors really seemed to pop. The MSI is also an IPS panel so should have some similar characteristics to the gigabyte. Not that the gigabyte is a bad choice at all, I’m just saying I have the msi and I’ve been happy with it so far.

I would also point you to this review. There may be a few differences, but I believe the model reviewed in the article below was an older model of the one I linked. But it can probably give you an idea.

Persoanally, I wouldn't touch an Intel CPU at this time. 7600 is a good CPU. When I was waiting for for my 4070ti 16GB super, I love the fact AMD 9000 series has onboard starter graphics like my 9900x does. Great for new builds and newbs.

Thanks. AMD is what I'm going to pick. Though I'm more interested in 9600 if its price is somehow comes close to 7600x but not sure when will they be available to buy at local shops.. 7600 is not available, only 7600x is available.

Echoing others advice but the AMD 7600 is the route I would go at this stage. Will provide a number of upgrade options down the line. If you can stretch the budget to get a cl30 6000mhz kit then I would try and do that personally although the difference may not be huge.

1440p is the way to go as well. Most mid range gpus (4070 / 7800xt) upwards will give you a hood experience st this resolution and DLSS / FSR will be there should you need any assistance I some heavier games. I tend to only use IPS screens nowdays as I much prefer the colour reproduction for both gaming and graphical work. I am using 2 x LG GP850P which have been great although I feel they are discontinued now.

With the new GPUs being released very soon then I would see what the performance is like and go with what suits you best. Only a few more weeks to go for both AMD and Nvidias new offerings.

Do you already have the PSU and is it from a previous system?
