Question Ryzen 5500 not posting Gigabyte b450 Aorus M

Hello,

I upgraded my cpu from a R5 2600 to a R5 5500, I updated the bios on my motherboard to the latest and when I booted my pc with the new CPU it will not post. I have a gigabyte b450 aorus m. Also before upgrading the bios I did what Gigabyte recommended for me to do, install EC FW Update Tool and Q-Flash Utility to update BIOS. Is there anything for me to do?

Yes it does. With the new one, the fans start up but thats about it

I forgot to mention i did that also i resisted the RAM kit, i think i just got a faulty CPU at this point.

Ok i just checked and its on F66. Ill try to downgrade the drivers and do everything all over again, if it still doesn’t work ill just get a refund on the CPU.

If it comes down to it you can always return it and pick up a ryzen 5 3600 as that should be pretty close to the 5500.
