Samsung 955DF

Hey guys,
What advantages and/or disadvantages can you guys put out about the Samsung 955DF (19" Dynaflat)? I'm looking for a 19" flat screen monitor for my brother. Any other suggestions? And please, nothing too expensive - I want something around the same price.

I looked at this monitor yesterday at a local store, also looked at the 17", they are both flat and in my opinion have very good displays. I think the 19" was about $290 and the 17" $210. I am assuming you are planning to order online and havent actually seen this monitor. For what it is worth, if i was to buy a monitor yesterday at that store i would of selected one of these two the 17 or 19 from the 15 or so on display. I will add that the 19 does take up it's fair share of real estate.

Somebody is telling me that because this monitor does not meet TCO99 standards (and it doesn't), it will give my eyes problems if I use it for approximately 8 hours per day every day. Is this true at all?

Well, I've had it for a little while now...
IT IS AMAZING!
I use Compaq's at work, and they're -decent- monitors, but the Samsung is much much better.
It is so flat that it appears concave if you look it at an angle when its off... turn it on, and be amazed.
I don't have huge experience with high-end monitors, but I have seen my share of mid and low end monitors, and this one is the best I've seen yet. I'd recommend it highly
