I have a Samsung smart tv and I have connected it wirelessly 2 days ago. It was working fine after the initial set up but now none of the apps work. I have done a network test and it confirms that it is connected to the internet with a strong signal.

I click on the apps and it takes a while before the error message comes up with saying the network is not connected, I then run a network test and it confirms that it is connected to the internet with a strong signal!

I have turned everything on and off again but still not working. Can anybody help?

Solution
Yes I found the answer, click on the menu button on your remote, then go to network settings. Set the DNL manually to 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4 and that should do the trick. Let me know if it worked for you
I have same exact issue since last 2 days, i did all possible solutions suggested, nothing is working. this is very annoying.... damn samsung whatz wrong with their tvs....so many people having same exact issue

Day 2 of the Samsung smarthub shutdown and still it is not working. Any new information would be much appreciated

Exactly! The problem is not missing out on Smart-TV for a few days, thats absolutely not the point. But spending a whole day troubleshooting only to find out it was all in vain is very upsetting! Wrong errormessages and an admit-nothing salami-tactics are generally a great way to deal with problems. I call it the samsung experience, more then just TV...

And to quote someone on Myce.com :
Idiots. What is wrong with people. I'm more than likely to leave a company if they're not up front, rather than just say they have a problem.
Simple.
Too many Chiefs not enough Indians..

Finally issue resolved and below is the instructions:

Go to below Link

Step 1

http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/yourTVmodelcode

For Example:
yourTVmodelcode can see in your back side of the TV - 'UN46ES7500FYZB'

Step 2

Click on 'Upgrade File(EN)' It leads to download some zip file with some name like 'T-ECPAKUC'

Unzip the zip folder and copy this file in USB drive.

Make sure your USB folder is empty and having only this downloaded un-zip file.

Step 3

Connect USB to your TV

Select source = TV

Click Menu on remote >> support >> Software Update (select option from USB) >> click next

It will automatically detect that file from USB and updates the software.

TV restarts automatically and you all set. !!!

Hi there, I am Alfredo from Buenos Aires, Argentina, since yesteday, my network in a Samsung UN40EH5300 doesnt not connect, I mean, connect to the router, but it says that cannot access to internet, I have called to the Samsung Service Support and they told me that is a problem with this series of TV and that they are working in a solution, I think that is something about the Samsung Server here the Smarthub connect, but that problem makes me realize that even that I purchase a TV and I am paying for a Netflix service, I am hold by my balls with Samsung Server availability , really dissapointed about that. I am really thinking in buy a Smartbox generic with any linux.
If I obtain any news, I will publish here.

can you help me. i did tried both 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
and It did not work..it says invalid DNL

Sign me up, I tried everything everyone else has and no luck. TV work fine until about 2 days ago now it connect to the router with no problem but says it can't connect to the internet. I already had the latest software version. Been trying to reach live chat but it seems they aren't even answering any more. Hopefully someone figures this out.

Seems like the easier way to find a solution is through TWITTER.
as of feb 26th, Samsung's central servers were down.

Searching these hashtags would have saved me hours of research / troubleshooting.
#samsung #samsungTV #SamsungSmartHub #smarthub

Holy cow thank you so much!!!! It was driving me nuts and just started working after I tried your solution.

You are prince amongst men.

Network settings change ip DNS to manual 151.80.14.237

this web site will help you get it back it worked for me good luck http://www.myce.com/news/users-fix-samsung-smart-tv-time-two-workarounds-known-75148/

Feb 25th in Western Canada... this is the ONLY solution that has worked for me. Thanks, dude.

Thank u so much I tried all the things with ip address and everything and real problem was so easy in fact joy stick in right corner helped pressed it for 10 secends and I already have internet.

Me too...DumdHub not working past two days. My other newer Samsung smart TV works fine (that one has built in wireless)...must be something related to older models (I am using the wireless USB adapter on the one that is not working). Will continue to wait patiently.

Just went to try one of the fixes recommended and now IT IS WORKING! And I did nothing to fix it...Samsung must have fixed something on their side. Thank you to whomever or whatever fixed it!

Samsung was fully aware and has been of their server problems over the years. Unfortunate that they have server issues but it SEEMS they have been correcting it as the problem arises. Sometimes it just takes patience for them to fix it OR for someone to find a work around.

I spent hours reading forum posts from 2013-2015 when I realize the MOST UP TO DATE fixes are usually on TWITTER (go figure.) I'd suggest searching hashtags regarding the product you're having troubles with to see if others around the world are having the same issues and if they found a fix. Twitter is a powerful tool for this.

Finally today I have checked the Smarthub and a Terms and Conditions banner appears, and after that all the icon ( Netflix, Youtube, etc ) appears again and now it is working, not necesary to put any dns or change the ip to fixed, just wait, but this makes me crazy, I hate samsung.

Buenos Aires, Argentina

My samsung has had the same issue the last few days, I've been watching here for a solution. It seems to have fixed itself today. I hope everyone else's works now.

From Canada BTW glad to see everyone has working connections now.
