Question SATA version changed randomly

Hello,

I've added a new Samsung 860 EVO SSD to my 'HP Pavilion TouchSmart 15-n023cl Notebook', Sometimes detected as SATA || and sometimes SATA |||, I don't know what's the problem! Is it from the SSD or BIOS and how can I fix it?

The 860 EVO is a SATA III device.
The connection on the motherboard may be SATA II or SATA III.

I'd suggest that you drop the SSD into the original HDD location on your laptop/2-in-1 since the secondary slot often has a slower SATA port. Did you reinstall the OS after you upgraded the laptop with an SSD?

Yes, The SSD in the master port. Please note I'm not changing any thing, Just after every restart the SATA version changing.
Also I'm tried to remove the caddy & the HDD but unfortunately nothing happened

Same as HWiNFO when the SSD detected as sata 2 the read/write is about 250 Mb/s and after random number of restarts the SSD detected as sata 3 and the test result is about 550 Mb/s

You're right, I've replaced the SSD with a new one and the facing same problem. Do you know how can I fix it?

Yes, I'm using Samsung Magician and HWiNFO.

Sorry, I have no idea. Normally I would suspect the cable or a compatibility problem.
