SB Live vs Live Value

About the only difference I see between these 2 cards is that the Live version has a S/PDIF connector. What the devil is that? Is there any reason not to just get the Value version? I'm just playing games though the thing, no need for Dolby or anything like that.

The LIvE "gamer" as it often called was created just for that.... gaming It misses the hardware connections the live has to do some proff. mixing and stuff...

If your only interested in games i would definately buy the value.
