I bought a Montech Air 903 case a few days ago, and when I removed the tempered glass side panel, one of the screw rubber gaskets broke. This probably happened because I mistakenly removed the screws completely instead of just unscrewing them.

Is this rubber gasket very important and does it need to be replaced, or can I use the case without it?

In that case, I see no harm in a missing gasket. If you start to notice a vibration that might have been a preventative measure, but nothing that would damage the pc. Could they possibly be acting as an insulator for shock protection? Maybe someone with more experience can comment.

My thought was that it serves to protect against vibrations, yes, but I am not sure. This is the first case I've encountered where the screws are not supposed to come out completely and have these washers.

the screw isn't against the glass, it's only against the metal frame on the glass, the gasket is to prevent the screw from scratching the paint and provide some compression to help prevent it from coming undone, not having it won't matter, if it rattles or you'r worried about the paint get a fibre washer that fits from a hardware shop, it'll do the same job

Thanks for the response.
Today I visited a nearby computer store, and although they didn’t have any of those rubber pieces for the screws, they told me the same thing. They even said I shouldn’t worry unless I really wanted everything to be perfect with the case. I also asked the opinion of the store where I bought the case, and they gave me the same response you did.

I think I feel more at ease now.The disadvantages of not having the rubber pieces don’t seem serious, and it’s not noticeable that they’re missing either , only if you look closely at the screws, which I don’t think I’ll be doing.
