My wife bought me as a gift an ASUS FX504GM-E4060T wich has a SSD of 256 GB and an HDD of 1T, currently is charging and i have serious doubt:

I know that SDD are supposed to be faster than an HDD, but how do i manage to make it that way? Do you think Win10 will be installed in the SDD already? What is the real use for this kind of storage?

Thank you for your answers

c drive is the drive the os is installed on, see if the c drive has 256gb.

also, everytime you install something you can tell it where to go
or, make it automatic by telling your pc that the desktop is on the hard drive.

just go to "This pc" and set everything you need in each things properties.
should be easy enough

the os and frequently used games/apps should be on the sdd, and any photos, videos, movies, less played games you dont wanna delete and anything of the sort should be on the hdd

OK, a laptop with 2 drives.
1x SSD and 1x larger HDD.

OS and all your applications go on the SSD. The OS will already be on there, no problem.
Anything else you install...also let that go to the default SSD.

Your other stuff...games, videos, music...you can save those on the large HDD.

Steam games:
Steam games location
In the steam client:
Steam

Steam Library Folders
Add library folder

Origin has a similar function.

Video/pics/music...those take up a lot of space. Save those to locations on the HDD.
