Hi, my video card is amd r9 280x and provides 2x DVI, 1x HDMI and 1x DisplayPort slots. I've been using my main monitor, which only supports VGA slots and I've connected it to pc through a DVI-A converter. Today I've bought a second monitor and HDMI slot in my videocard is faulty. As the second monitor uses vga only, I've bought a converter again but this time for DVI-D Single Link. Apparently through that converter I can't get any signals even in both cables and monitors. From my readings throughout the forums including tomshardware, as VGA is analog and DVI-D supports only digital is my problem but im not completely sure. Kinda overwhelmed about those informations.
Edit: I don't have another onboard slot, all I've got are just graphic card's slots.
- The converters im using are look like this, https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32848972881.html
- Do I have to buy one with adapter like this, https://www.amazon.co.uk/Active-DVI-D-Adapter-Benfei-Female/dp/B07D3XZ9SD
- I don't want to use my displayport slot as it can be faulty like hdmi.
Edit: I don't have another onboard slot, all I've got are just graphic card's slots.
