I'd like to share resources on a peer-to-peer (wireless) network but - is
there no way to assign a password to a shared drive or folder? Or maybe
assign permissions for certain folders to certain users?

Is it all-or-nothing with sharing in XP Home?

Might there be a 3rd party software security solution?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Bob

In XP Home, all network access is authenticated as the Guest user account. Simple File Sharing cannot be disabled in XP Home. If you want document/files shared, put them in the Shared Documents folder.
