hello, I just bought a 2200+ socket-A Sempron, and when I go to My Computer and click properties, it's reported as an Athlon 893 Mhz.

aah that fixed it :) I guess the technician forgot to set it correctly.

By the way, the motherboard is an MSI K7N2 Delta2 with nForce2 ultra 400

I couldn't tell what the BIOS date was, but it read BIOSversion W6570NMS v11.4 081604 13:34:12

That's a decent board unless you screw up the BIOS settings badly and it refuses to reset them.

I've been using YYMMDD at the end of names for a couple of years now to keep track of file revisions. :O (I know, to be Y2K compliant I should use YYYY, not YY, but it's only 05 now, so unless I live for 95 more years, I don't think I have to worry.)
