Set up VPN

I have 5 remote computers trying to set them up to access one host pc , host
pc have xp pro, uses DSL service and behind Linksys Router, I think I need to
set up VPN but have no clue further more ,,

You can setup a VPN, but Windows XP only supports acting as a server
for one (1) connection only.. Go to
http://www.onecomputerguy.com/networking/xp_vpn_server.htm and

how to set this up.

Do I need to subscribe to any services or buy additional equipments

Don't know what kind of Linksys you have, but some models (and other vendors
make comparable units) support VPN and act as the endpoint for it.

If you want additional connections? The cheapest way to is to get a
VPN router... Before you buy anything new, check the capabilities of
your current router. Many Linksys routers offer a VPN server or can
be extended to offer this functionality (like the WRT54G series)...
