Question Severe glitches, is my GPU dead ?

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Bought a 3070 off ebay
Used? What GPU were you working with prior to the RTX3070?

On second thoughts, when posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
please include the age of the PSU as well if it's been in service for a while.

I've just reinstalled the 1070ti to isolate the issue just in case and the pc seems to be running fine. Any clues to what I can do for the 3070?

Is is possible you bought a used 3070??

If that's the case, and since everything runs fine with the old GPU but not with the Bay 3070, it could have been mined to within an inch of its useful life. A week of gaming might have sent it to GPU heaven.

Any warranties from seller??

Oh yea it's definitely a used card. Seller looked legit and not a miner, but it's pretty bad look if the card failed after just one week. Been messaging them for a refund and warranty talk but all I'm getting it outright denial and dead ends. Any tips on how I can get my money back on ebay 😅

Haven't deal with eBay for things like that, but you can try this: https://pages.ebay.com/ebay-money-back-guarantee/

I don't deal with eBay exactly because of such shady transactions. It's a shady auction house after all, not a real shop with solid guarantees for sold items.

Having said that, and having friends who have bought and suffered at eBay, they do say eBay is "usually" helpful with solving such issues.

Document all your correspondence with seller and contact eBay ASAP; submit your claim for a refund based on misrepresentation of sold item and seller's non-cooperation.
